Riding long tomorrow

I am going to attempt to ride long tomorrow and hope for better luck than I had last Friday. I got a Hydrotail today and installed it on the bike. I have never had a behind-the-seat hydration so this should be interesting. I can now carry 4 bottles on my bike, which is great for training. For race day, I most likely will have nothing on my bike but the aero-bottle.
I thought about bike nutrition today. In both of my IMs I have used candy in some form. First year it was Skittles, second year it was Almond M&Ms. I thought this year I would only do Hammer Gel and Gatorade, but the more I think about it the more I realize that I need more calories than one shot of gel and 20.oz of Gatorade per hour. I could take a shot of gel every 30-45 minutes, but I don't really WANT to. Tomorrow will be just gels and Gatorade but starting next week I am going to incorporate some kind of candy into my nutrition and see how I do with it.
Being in the aero position again has reminded me that I burp stuff up in my mouth when I am in aero! I know that is gross, but it is true. It is something that I have learned to live with because it just cannot be avoided. So what do I want to burp up? Probably Skittles. :)
Anyway, I am feeling nervous about my ride tomorrow and I am not sure why. I think I feel some anxiety at not knowing the roads well and knowing I will get lost if I don't follow a route I've done before. I am also nervous about finally having to climb real hills with an 11-23 cassette. Then there is the anxiety of having a tight window of opportunity. I have to pick up Lily at 1pm, so I need to be leaving my house as Mason gets on the bus at 7:15 so I have a bit of wiggle room to get back in time (what if I get a flat or get lost or have to stop to rest?). This will probably be the last week I can do my long rides on Fridays.
I am sure everything will be fine. I am doing the same route I did a couple of weeks ago, which I know should take me about 4.5 hours if I adjust it a little bit. It is hilly but I need to face the hills and convince myself I don't need to switch to a 12-25 or 12-27. Strength is good and I will want that 11-23 in Arizona.
