I am one of those people that gets hung up on one food and will eat it every day for days or weeks then move on to something else. This week I have had two obsessions:
1. Maple and Brown Sugar Life Cereal with raisins and 2% milk. Don't ask me why. I bought this cereal for my children and then proceeded to eat the ENTIRE box by myself over the course of 3 days.
2. Mini whole wheat bagel, toasted. On both sides I put hummus, fresh mint, a slightly runny fried egg, and freshly ground sea salt and pepper. This is so insanely delicious. I have been eating it every day, and it even prevented me from eating the pancakes I made for my kids two mornings in a row.
Moving on to other exciting food news...I went to Sam's Club today and found coke in bottles from Mexico, which means it has sugar in it instead of corn syrup. I bought some for my kids to take to the pool, since it seems the best part of "going to the pool" for them is not the actual pool but the opportunity to purchase junk food from the vending machine. I might as well buy the junk food myself and save them from a serving of corn syrup.
Time to go play at the vending machines, errr, pool.
